Initiated a 6-part series to help participants build Python-based projects for their resumes with a focus in web dev, data analytics, and cloud dev
Understanding what projects to showcase on a resume can be challenging, which inspired me to initiate the "Building Python Projects: Resume Booster Series" workshop series for Women Who Code Python. By assembling a dedicated team, we created a comprehensive six-part series covering essential areas like resume optimization, web development (frontend and backend), data analytics, cloud development, and interview preparation. Each session offered practical, hands-on guidance to help participants build impactful projects, with recordings made available to extend accessibility.
I spearheaded the Cloud Development session, focusing on critical cloud concepts that participants could implement in their own projects. This session included hosting code on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing Google Cloud Storage solutions, and integrating the Directions API for real-world applications. By equipping attendees with these skills, we aimed to empower them to stand out in the job market with resumes that reflect practical, in-demand expertise. The workshops also served as a platform for collaborative learning and mentorship, further fostering a supportive community.
