Participated as a volunteer, assisting the organizers and participants during the Judging and Demo sessions
At AthenaHacks 2022, I had the privilege of contributing to the smooth execution of the judging rounds, ensuring a seamless experience for participants and organizers alike. My responsibilities included virtually guiding participants to their designated waiting rooms to prepare them for their presentations to the judges. I meticulously updated the database with critical information from each group, such as their preferred mode of presentation, to ensure accurate and streamlined event logistics.
I also relayed and clarified presentation guidelines to participants, providing clear communication to help them focus on showcasing their innovative ideas. Additionally, I offered technical support, troubleshooting issues with audio devices, playback systems, and cameras to minimize disruptions and maintain a professional environment.
Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the complexities of hosting a large-scale hackathon and learned how to effectively coordinate and manage such events. This opportunity allowed me to enhance my event planning skills and better understand the behind-the-scenes efforts required to organize a successful hackathon. Being part of such a dynamic and inspiring event was both rewarding and educational, as it further fueled my passion for fostering innovation and collaboration.
