Founded a fundraiser event to help raise funds for the BLM movement and the AAPI community with the help of student artists

I felt frustrated by my inability to contribute meaningfully to causes I cared about.
Determined to make a difference, I reached out to my school and various student organizations at Western Michigan University with an idea: to create a platform for individuals like me—people who wanted to help but didn’t know where to start.
This vision became the Back2Back Fundraiser, a collaborative effort with the Campus Activities Board at WMU. The event brought together students from diverse backgrounds to participate as vendors, selling everything from handcrafted wood sculptures to photography prints. To support meaningful change, 10% of all proceeds were donated to the Black Lives Matter and Stop Asian Hate movements.
In addition to organizing the event, I led a team of five in developing a PERN stack webpage to showcase the student vendors and provide event information, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
